Very convincing film magazine cover, based on solid research into genre codes and conventions. The whole layout has a pleasing unity in its colour design with the bold red of the masthead drawing the eye to other important features in red, namely the title of the central splash and the splatters framing the montage of stills from key scenes in the trailer, making a cohesive pair with the trailer (though not with the much more muted, monochromatic poster). This functions very effectively as a film magazine cover partly because of the excellent integration of the protagonist and mansion with distant view, giving a bird's eye view of the lonely terrain braved by the young hero. Excellent Photoshop skills.
