Evaluation Question 3: FEEDBACK

Our Hero's journey through the trailer is essentially a quest narrative. This initially resulted in a great many tracking shots which led to a lack of visual variety. We had been impressed by the award-winning Les Blues de Ramville which excelled in its variety of screenshots, moving from CU to tilt pan to POV to rostrum shot.

Positive feedback endorsed our camerawork choices such as the use of the drone cam which was universally admired as a narrative device to show the young hero's departure into the unknown, as he diminished in the frame, becoming smaller and smaller, connoting his vulnerability and courage.

  1. The film cover went through many drafts before reaching this version as did the film poster so it would have been interesting to see something of that journey and the evolution of this final draft.
You also received feedback about how to translate the content of the film narrative into a style more fitting a trailer (which you allude to in the opening sequence). Stills illustrating the issues and the fixes would be helpful here.
